The Constantine’s Bar of Lawyers organizing on Wednesday, November 20, 2024,
a training workshop on the topic: “The Plea of Unconstitutionality”

Context and Objectives:

As part of the first competition for the best oral argument in the plea of unconstitutionality, this workshop aims to achieve two primary goals.
Firstly, it seeks to equip young trainee lawyers with essential concepts and key tools related to the plea of unconstitutionality, raising their awareness of the crucial role played by lawyers in drafting such pleas. This process demands advanced legal skills.
Secondly, it provides practical training on the techniques of drafting a plea of unconstitutionality. Notably, these pleas must be thoroughly substantiated, legally sound, and persuasive, relying on a coherent and logical legal methodology.

Proposed Program:

• Welcome Address

• Opening Remarks by the Session Chair
  Mr. Mounass Misbah, Member of the Constitutional Court.
• Speech by the Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Algeria
  Ms. Mariam Allawi.
• Presentation on the Procedures and Acceptance Criteria for the Plea of Unconstitutionality
  Mr. Boudeyaf Amar, Member of the Constitutional Court.
• The Lawyer’s Role in the Plea of Unconstitutionality
  Mr. Mohamed Boutarfas, Member of the Constitutional Court.
• Techniques and Methodology for Drafting a Plea of Unconstitutionality
  Mr. Saber Nasreddine, Member of the Constitutional Court.
• The Plea of Unconstitutionality as a Mechanism to Safeguard Constitutionally Guaranteed Rights and Freedoms
  Mr. Nadhir Ameurich, Lawyer and University Professor.
• General Discussion until 12:00 PM
